Our Selection & Build Process

Our family selection and home building process follows a detailed set of guidelines set out by Habitat for Humanity International. We build low-cost homes only to families who meet those requirements and are willing to abide by Habitat's rules and regulations.

Family Selection:

  • Habitat for Humanity of Greater Garland selects new partner families no more than once a year and then only after our current partner families' homes have been completed and we have land to build on. Our latest Family Selection Information Meeting was held in May 2007. Although We do yet not have a date scheduled for our next family selection meeting anyone wishing to particiapte can send a request for consideration along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to our Garland office. All interested parties will be notified at least 30 days prior to the next selection meeting. For further details, please click here.
