What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.
James 2:14-18 (New International Version)

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Garland has rolled out a new volunteer program for groups. Interested individuals or groups* can agree to adopt one of our home lots to perform the following once-a-month or bi-weekly maintenance until the home is completed and the family moves in:
*Must be at least 14 years of age or older. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a supervising adult in a ratio of one adult per every four children.
Volunteers performing these tasks free up much needed funds to be used for construction and give people the opportunity to give back to their community.
If your group is interested in adopting a lot, please contact us at the number below.
